We spent 3 nights in Begijnhof Hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect close to the city, quiet and right in the middle of UNESCO heritage. The staff was friendly - especially we would like to give our compliments to the bar/restaurant staff They were extremely service minded. One of the days, we invited two guests (not staying at the hotel) to join us for breakfast. My expectation was that they would be mostly welcome (it says so on the Internet). However, as there was only one employee this Saturday morning - responsible for the kitchen and the serving - we had to persuade him to bring our guests, which did not feel OK. Tip to hotel management: make sure that there is sufficient staff in the restaurant or communicate clearly that you cannot bring gusts, you have to book in advance etc.
