A very nice hotel located close to the Vatican and just 10-15 min walk from the main city center, the area felt safe at night. We also discovered that the shuttle service SIT bus to and from Fiumicino airport, 6 Euro fee one way, had a bus stop just three blocks from the hotel, so this was very convenient. The hotel has a very large roof terrace with a lot of chairs and sunscreens, so you can sit there and relax and have a picnic. The breakfast was a very positive surprise with a large variety of options and fresh pastries, fruits, scrambled eggs etc, very good compared to normal Italian standards. The only problem is the dining room, it is in the basement in an old cellar style room, very nice, but extremely noisy if there are more than 10 guests having breakfast at the same time. They should put up some curtains or other noise dampening furniture to reduce the noise level. The rooms are quite basic and normally sized, but very clean and have everything you need, including a large safetybox with pincode. The only problem was that someone had smoked in the room we were assigned, and after complaining, we finally were able to change to a room that did not smell. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but they person who checked us in was not very keen on helping us to change to a non-smoking room, seemed to think it was not his problem. I would recommend this hotel if you want a good, simple, safe and clean place.
