The room we received was possibly the worst in the entire hotel, but it still should not have been as poor as we found it. While the bathroom had been renovated, the rest of the room was in very bad condition, with extremely old and dirty wallpaper, doors, and windows. The room's door was also damaged, and we could hear everything from the corridor outside, indicating poor sound insulation. The room's air quality was dreadful, with virtually no ventilation (not even in the bathroom!!!), extremely high humidity, and a moldy smell. Additionally, there was noise from the street due to the window being so old and damaged that it barely made a difference whether it was open or closed. Despite being a family room, there were inadequate surfaces for our belongings to left on and there wasn't even a single available electrical outlet to charge our phones.
When we complained about the room's condition, noting that we chose this hotel based on the pictures and reviews, we were told that the pictures were only samples.
Regarding the bathroom ventilation, they informed us that because it was the weekend, they could not find a technician to come and check it.
As for the lack of electrical outlets, we were advised to unplug one of the bedside lamps to use the outlet.
