The hotel is situated next to the Central train station which in some cities can mean a less pleasant area, but in Minsk it is certainly not so. It is a very safe area and in the station you can find small shops open until very late. It's even possible to change money the whole night. There is also a metro station connected to the train station so it's no problem getting around (right now a new metro line is being built outside the hotel, but it's not a problem except one has to walk a little longer around the working area). On the other side of the train station there is a modern shopping center with everything you might need including a food store and food court. A little further on the other side of the station is the Independence square where there is also a shopping mall underground.
The hotel has ten floors and is new and in great condition. The rooms are well-equipped with wide and good beds, water boiler, Wi-Fi etc. The bathroom is spacious with a big shower. The TV has a few English language channels. The breakfast is served downstairs and has a wide variety. I guess it can get crowded if you are late though, but I had never any problems. The people in the reception are friendly and speak English. The hotel also has its own restaurant and bar, but I had never time to try it myself.
