Don't book this hotel!
No reception, you had to call a phone number and get a password for the digital doorlock. We had to wait 25 minutes in telephone que until answered. Then when answered they said the hotel was overbooked and our room therefore not available. They had no excuse and according to the hotel we finally managed to find with an available room on a fully booked site, they said that this hotel do so over and over again to be sure having it fully booked even with last minutes cancelled rooms. This is definitely not acceptable and from this perspective we can not recommend booking this hotel. Even with a booking confirmation there might be a risk you don't get the room.

Poor service for problems
Got to location. Asked for a first floor room. The room was on second floor, not cleaned, beds not made. After numerous calls, they finally put me in first floor room, that had been cleaned. I have stayed at this location numerous times. This is my time having issues. I sincerley hope they do better in the future

TV situation is a problem
Hotel is good for two star with two exceptions: 1. TV - I have masters in Electronic Engineering and using the two remotes they give you was too technical for me. Getting it to turn on and show standard TV was quite a challenge. Volume controls except for mute didn't work with either TV 2. Hidden trick fee - Actual charge was more than $20 over what shows up on travel websites. I'm guessing many people don't realize this before accepting

Pets on both sides of us barking in the middle of the night. Didn’t realize it was pet friendly and that is fine but do a better job of separation of pet rooms from non pet rooms

Spacious lovely super close private beach access. Its simple, inexpensive, modern not old, king size rooms are accommodated with a full kitchen. The pool is lovely as well! It’s a nice hidden better deal than a lot of the more expensive stays. The space and nature that surrounds it make it more peaceful than a crowded resort building. I will not forget it, in the event I’m in this area spending the night again.

This was a great stay! The room was bright and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was so convenient, even though we only stayed one night. Beach access was outstanding. This would be perfect for an extended stay. The only negatives : coffee maker didn’t work and the sink and shower soaps needed refilling. Overall, a great value and place to stay!

Was great but wish our AC worked better and that the room had curtains. The light outside still came through the window and it was very bright. Location is amazing. Easy proximity to beach. Dog friendly. Quiet and secluded. Overall was a great family trip.

We can't comment on staff or service, since nobody was their. The appearance of the outside needs to be updated and repairs needed... But was told the building will be torn down and many homes will be built... My opinion the motel should be saved and updated and would be more financial able for families to come down and enjoy the OBX. Many families are luck to get out for a week and with the $$$$ rent of homes this motel is affordable to many..... Thank you...
