I'll start out with the positive and then go to the negative. The room wasn't bad, very tiny though. It barely fits the double bed and there isn't really anywhere to put luggage so you will be tripping over it. Definitely somewhere I would only stay with a romantic partner who you are used to sharing tight quarters with. The location was great for walking (assuming you are planning on doing a lot of walking in Rome). It is situated between the Vatican and Colosseum. It also was clean.
For the negative. If you will not have international calling while there, DON'T BOOK! You can't even get checked in without calling them. Second, the power in our room went out our first night of 3 (I think a breaker was tripped, so easy fix). They came and made up our room the next two days and didn't handle it. Multiple calls to Hotels.com, who were great, trying to fix the issue. First time they said they were sending someone and didn't. Next day wouldn't even answer any calls or emails from Hotels.com. I emailed them numerous times and have never gotten a single response. Definitely not worth the money, especially trying to get ready and take showers by cell phone light. Very disappointed and would love a response from this hotel to even one of my emails.
