I recently stayed at this hotel while traveling with a friend. We each checked into separate rooms, using our own credit cards for the hold. Later, I found extra charges on my credit card and contacted the hotel. They informed me the charges were for my friend’s room. When I requested a written receipt with itemized expenses instead of a verbal explanation, the staff responded in a condescending and mocking tone: “Written? You want it mailed to you?” I clarified I wanted it by email, but they continued to make excuses and refused to send it, even though the charge was on my card.
When I mentioned I would have to contact my credit card company if they couldn’t provide the receipt, the staff sarcastically replied, “Hah, for what?” This level of unprofessionalism was shocking. I’ve stayed at numerous hotels globally, but this was the first time I’ve experienced such rude treatment. It made me wonder whether their behavior was influenced by my appearance or accent.
Advice to management: Be mindful of who you place at the front desk—racist or dismissive behavior has no place in hospitality.
Advice to future guests: Avoid this hotel if you expect decent customer service.
