It’s easy to see that the hotel once was a grand hotel, as you walk into the lobby. But that was a 30-something years ago. The hotel has not been renovated in a long time, which give the whole hotel a feeling of not being fresh. There is type of old fabrics everywhere, like old curtains, rugs, table cloths etc, which gives a feeling of bed bugs and lice. The hotel smells of cleaning chemicals as well. Furthermore, the hotel is as far from sound proof that it can get. We stayed on the fourth floor but could sleep at all without earplugs to due noise from the street outside.
The only good part about the hotel is the location. It’s right on the beach walk, ten minutes walk from downtown and two minutes to the closest beach. Sun beds at the beach cost around 8 Euro’s a day. The fact that the hotel charge 7 euro’s a day for sun beds at their own pool is nothing short of a joke.
