Tampa is always buzzing with activity, and that includes several festivals that are held throughout the year celebrating fascinating traditions and history. Most of the local festivals are centred around the historical figure Jose Gaspar, who's also known as Gasparilla.

He was a legendary pirate who became famous for his alleged exploits in the region around the turn of the 20th century, although there aren't actually any historical accounts of him. When you visit Tampa, you can take part in the celebrations and enjoy festivals you won't find anywhere else. Check out the 10 best festivals in Tampa.
