    Rainbow Pedestrian crossing

    • Historia
    • Unika upplevelser

The Venice Rainbow Pedestrian crossing is one of the newer Instagram-friendly locations in Los Angeles but already stands as a cultural landmark in honour of the LGBTQIA+ community. This pedestrian crossing in the Venice area was dedicated on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riot and is located just outside the Roosterfish bar. The Venice pedestrian crossing joins an already-existing Rainbow Pedestrian crossing in West Hollywood, and together they celebrate the beginning of the LGBT civil rights movement that culminated in the very first Gay Pride March. Today, Pride parades are common all over the country every June, so that makes this a culturally and historically important location.
