We checked in after 7:30pm, the host Celine received us in a rush. Exhausted from a full day road trip and Omaha/D-Day guided tour, first thing we wanted to do was take a hot shower; only to be disgusted of the molds on the shower walls and floor (Pics attached). Then, the wall heaters in the bedroom & bathroom won’t turn on (note that it’s a simple on/off switch, pretty sure not operator issue). By then, we contemplated to check out. However, considered we’ll be out of the property in 12 hours. We checked out at 9:30 am. We walked around the property while our belongings were left in the dining room. After walking around/taking pics, we walked back to the dining room entrance, our belongings were already out at the front door. The host Celine hauled them out. We thought that was very nice. At that time, I didn’t notice that the white shopping bag with our road trip essentials (a bottle of water, nuts& berries, a box of French macaroons, and a half bottle of champagne) was missing. We loaded the car and explored the town for about an hour. We returned to the property, Celine sent us off. We drove to Utah Beach and Mont Saint Michel after. About an hour into our drive back to Paris around 6pm, we realized the white plastic bag was missing. I sent a message to Celine. She said she found the bag, no champagne. First off, she hauled our bags out from the dining room. How can she possibly leave the white bag?
It’s not about the value of what’s in the bag,
It’s all about honesty
