When booking the room, the pictures and description talked about have a sofa in addition to the beds and at least additional seating. It showed carpet instead of tile/vinyl flooring. After checking in, I leanrd the rooms were all rearranged and 3rd party descriptions not up to dare. We only had 2 queen bed and an office desk/chair. I had to request additional seati g so there was somewhere for us to eat meals and chairs to sit on. The room had no rugs at all so the pup slept on the cold hard floor...dog bed is too large to travel with.
The room was on the 4 th floor out of 6 stories and poured water theough the ceiling during the night. The room was constantly sticky fewli g and hallways old. Conf room ceilings on the 1st floor leaked too. Staff was very friendly amd tried to be accomodating but I couldn't extend my stay during check in or check out. Since we were evacuatees from a hurricane, we wanted to stay an addional day while the cities impacted worked to clean up roadways and allow flooding levels to go down. I could not extend or even book a new one night through the front desk without moving to a room with only one bed. We ended up not extending.
Befoe the hurricane hit, the hotel was already out of half their menu options in their onsite resturant and several items there weren't up to date either.
Not sure if average is the right rating...if compared to a 5 star, it was awful. If compared to a 1 or 2 starc, it was probably nice. The staff was very nice.
