This was by far my worst hotel experience ever. The property is located in a very sketchy area, right next to railroad tracks — meaning trains pass by multiple times a day and night, making it nearly impossible to relax. The walls are extremely thin; we could clearly hear other guests’ conversations, children running around, and even people arguing and shouting. If you’re hoping for a peaceful night’s sleep, this is not the place for you.
The beds were uncomfortable, with squeaky frames and rock-hard mattresses that left me waking up each morning with terrible back pain. To make matters worse, there were several occasions when we had no running water — no way to shower, brush our teeth, or even flush the toilet. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the receptionist simply said, “That’s an outside issue, it doesn’t have anything to do with us.” There was no apology, no sense of concern, and certainly no effort to make things right.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you currently have a reservation at La Quinta, do yourself a favor and cancel it now — you’ll be glad you did.
