Broken bed
If they give you room 206, ask for a different room. The bed is broken. I did not find this out until i went to bed. They offered to move us to a new room. I declined as our items were already unpacked, I wasnin my pajamas and ready for sleep.

Cheapest but disappointing
Check in and lobby looks tired and dated and the front desk staff seemed bored. Our room 3rd floor rear, was actually nicely appointed and decorated, however we had to ask to have the TV fixed as it had no signal and the four pillows provided on each bed were all over stuffed and uncomfortable. There didn't seem to be any breakfast on offer other than a very limited tea/coffee service. We didn't eat dinner there, it wasn't very inviting.

Banff is a hot bed of tourist activity so it was nice to be a little bit out of town but still within walking distant. The hotel itself was nice, but main bedroom was tight, with bed practically against the wall and no bed table in one side. Kitchenette was great and thank goodness for the spare bedroom with twin beds to store our luggage and have a place to sit. So we made it comfortable, but it was a bit awkward.
The pool and hot tub were both fantastic! Pool just right temp and hot tub was at 104 and spacious.
The best part was the pool and

Not at all what we expected..
We arrived late after a long journey, and got there a short while before reception closed for the night. We had 2, 30kg suitcases and no assistance available and the lift wss out of service, which they said happened a lot.
Its probably amongst the most basic in Banff.
