I was fortunate enough to suite on the ground floor reserved for me. The room was beautiful and in the style of the town Riga itself. Art Nouveau, early 19th century. It had a private sauna and a whirlpool bathtub.
The service was adequate, the breakfast tolerable(considering you,re in a small hotel in the balkans now…)
So far so good. But the music they played om the terrace outside my room! 160 bpm party music starting in the afternoon and going on all evening. Not loud, and not too late, but the majority of the guests in the hotel was middle aged and above. When asked if they could change it to a softer kind, they blamed the hostel outside strangely enough. They did turn the music further down thougn.
