Stayed here for 2 nights of a 9 day 30th anniversary trip. This place was planned as a rejuvenating stop. WOW it fit the bill!!! Absolutely a stunning desert oasis, with its history, landscape, and architecture. I read the reviews before selecting this place, about it's lack of amenities, and neighborhood, but chose it any way and we were glad we did. Not only that but would jump at another chance to stay here, absolutely beautiful place!!! We planned ahead had a cooler got ice and something to grill. Tracy the owner contacted us and inform us that being midweek no other guests would be staying there, the whole place to ourselves, are you kidding me!!! we had to pinch ourselves!!! We did manage to tear ourselves away to check out near bye Joshua Tree National Park (really cool) and the Coachella Valley Preserve Thousand Palms Ca. east of Palm Desert Ca. hard place to find but worth the effort. My rating might not live up to my enthusiasm but I have to be honest. The immediate neighborhood is ok, but you have to get ice and stuff, so closest place is a couple of miles, on the way you see houses with bars on the windows, just saying. On the service side no maid service or ice machine and the pool is small, if the place was full you would have to take turns. None of this was a problem for us and enjoyed our stay immensely, it was the highlight of our trip!!! P.S. Nice job Tracy on the renovation!!!
