Very good hotel close to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) in München. Everything was fresh and clean and high quality. The room even had a kitchenette with a small stove, microwave, fridge and an espresso machine. This is a staff free, mostly automated hotel, so the personal service level is low (you can contact customer service via phone/E-mail and via another Kings-hotel situated close by). Check-in is done via a computer between the double entrance doors where you also get+activate your keycard/s. I almost failed to check in, because the system didn't recognize my first name or booking number. But my E-mail address worked, thank god (for some reason the hotel had changed the booking to my partners name).
Cleaning was done daily, in part with a vacuum robot living under the bed. For a tourist like myself cleaning was done too early. They came around 9:30 at which time you probably haven't left the hotel or even got out of bed if you like to enjoy the night life. So we used the "do not disturb"-sign a few days (they came early although we told them the first day to come later). A nice breakfast was offered in an interconnected café, but prices were a bit steep at >13€ /person/day.
The location is very good, a few hundred meters from the central shopping streets and within 1-2 km from most tourist attractions. The area around the central station is a lot more tidy and with less addicts etc. than e.g Frankfurt which has a similar city plan. München is really enjoyable.
