I had an issue on my floor across from my room with dogs left unattended that barked constantly, then again during breakfast when they were left unattended again. There were smokers by the entrance right next to the doors even though smoking should be several feet from the entrances, and several vehicles with trailers were blocking several parking spots overnight. Nobody on staff seemed to notice or care. The front end staff seemed to be a little careless under pressure of several guests arriving all at once.
When I arrived there was a vehicle on display for a rental service blocking the entrance. It seems like there could be a better place to park it that would not impede customers arriving that need to unload their vehicles.
I reported the issue with the barking dog, and told the front desk that to be considerate for all travelers than anyone with pets should be co-located together on the same floor, wing, etc. and AWAY from other guests. After a long day of travel I am just looking for peace, quiet, and comfort so I can be ready the next morning. As someone who regularly travels with my dogs I am always conscientious and mindful of others around me and keep my dogs with me at all times, or I stay with them in the room. I would expect the same.
While the room was clean and well-maintained, it’s hard to enjoy a good night’s rest when there are so many other distractions.
