First large issue is waking up at 6am, trying to take a hot shower and after 30 minutes realizing that just isn’t going to happen as both knobs only come out cold. Call to the front desk (after I had walked down and confirmed the left knob turns on the hot) and I was told 9am would be the soonest someone can look at the shower. I leave at 8:30am for an appointment so I just don’t get to shower today.
Biggest complaint is their food and beverage policy. I plan on being here through Saturday (strongly reconsidering at this point) and to not be able to bring any food or drink into my room is ridiculous. So no fridge, no microwave, just their hotel’s own spot downstairs. Most disappointing when you arrive to your 3pm check in and the room is hot and stuffy because the AC machine isn’t turned on by staff prior to your arrival.
Overall, there are better places for the price, close to the actual beach and things to do. I’ve only taken two Ubers here, but to get to the nearby restaurant & back at the Marriot it cost me MX$200 total. Hard to tell from the photo but the downstairs lobby pool was empty when I checked in the first day, but this did get fixed the second day!
Coming back after having a dentist appointment the whole day and the water still did not work. The front desk told me “there’s hot water in the hotel” as if that was my concern. His solution given was he’s waiting on information to reset the water heaters… full review on google. Read the reviews!
