Bunks are often grimey from previous visitors, as well as accumulated dust and debris. Probably around 10 years since the last renovation, which is starting to show with broken showers, locks, and general wear and tear. The hostel charges, and overcharges, extra for everything, including padlocks, luggage storage, and even ear plugs. No air conditioning in sleeping quarters, which makes it a necessity to keep windows open throughout the night, and because the hostel is situated in a central area it can get extremely loud during nights.
On the positive side, the staff are friendly and helpful and the common areas are very good.
