So, 1. This hotel is in front of a bunch of strip clubs. It's not a quiet neighborhood, even though the hotel itself was nice enough looking. My problem with this hotel was their dishonestly and unwillingness to reimburse me for allowing their cleaning people into my room and either stealing or throwing away a bag of brand new items. I had bought souvenirs and legos, and had left them in the room (which was very tight), and gone out touring for the day. We left the "Do Not Disturb" sign on (they tried to blame me that I used the wrong side, but having accidentally done that the day before, I double and triple checked that morning). The next day when we checked out, I noticed our missing bag and immediately notified the hotel.
We looked, they checked the trash, they called the cleaning service, but in the end, my bag was gone. It was their responsibility, in my opinion, to reimburse me for someone coming into my room without permission, and then for throwing away my property. I have emailed, called, and emailed again. They almost acknowledge wrongdoing, but refuse to make the situation right. Do not stay here, and if you do, make sure to get some kind of insurance - they are not honest brokers.
