Barnacle Historic State Park highlights

One of the most popular activities in Barnacle Historic State Park is the birding opportunities. While the park is relatively small, you'll find a massive variety of birds throughout like herons, pelicans, and kingfishers. Doves, woodpeckers, and several birds of prey can also be found throughout the evergreens and semi-deciduous trees.

While you can tour the historic house, one of the more central attractions here is picnicking. The front lawn of the park by the house is a perfect place to set up picnic blankets, chairs, and coolers on sunny days, which are most days in Miami.
