To be frank we had a pretty terrible stay here. The doors have no sound proofing so you will hear every single time someone sneezes, coughs or enters/exits their room.
Our first night we arrived late from our flight around 1AM and were woken up at 8AM by the hotel’s own construction work. The concierge did apologize for that and promised they were done for the day. Fair enough, one night’s bad sleep doesn’t kill you.
Next night we were again out late exploring town and fell asleep around 3AM. Again, we were woken up at 8AM by the guests starting to leave their rooms, slamming the doors and talking in the corridor. At 9:30 the cleaner started vacuuming the room next door and it was as if she was standing right next to you. I had to ask her to postpone the cleaning a few hours for us to have any chance of getting some rest.
At this point we were so tired that we didn’t end up doing some of the things we planned. Our flight home was very early the next day but we sort of looked forward to that since at least we wouldn’t get woken up again.
It’s truly a shame cause other than the isolation issue, it is quite a charming hotel with friendly staff and great location. The room was a good size, affordable and clean. But it failed its primary objective - to give us rest.
