I stayed at Spero Ranch in the Fox Cabin over a holiday weekend and it was a lovely, quiet retreat. Due to an unforeseen maintenance issue, we were moved to the Fox Cabin rather than the Moose Cabin which we had originally reserved. The staff was very communicative and accommodating to that sudden change and it ended up not being an issue at all. The Fox Cabin is cozy and decorated nicely. The kitchen includes a mini-fridge and two-burner electric stovetop to meet our needs. When I originally booked, I did not realize that the Fox Cabin has two rooms, each with it's own bed--so that was a suprise as to walking in and ended up working well for us.
The grounds are nice and most of the views from the cabins are wooded areas. There's not a ton to do in the close vicinity, but more further out if you're willing to drive. Since we really just wanted a retreat away from the city, this was a nice option--close and yet nestled up in the mountains to feel like a true getaway.
