Unfortunately a disappointment. My room (311) was difficult to get to, almost like a maze, it was located at the far end. The elevator only went to one floor, after which I had to take 3 half-stairs up with 2 heavy bags. Narrow corridors and stairs, and cleaning ladies who put things in the aisle really didn't help. No one at reception offered to help me, as they should have understood the challenge.
The room didn't have an EU socket outlet, (which was standard in other hotels I've stayed at before, certainly in central London), and they couldn't lend you an adapter, but you had to buy one instead, at an expensive price.
During breakfast, I was placed right at the entrance where the staff was checking in all the guests, which was messy and not peaceful at all. Their concept was to serve coffee at the table, which they forgot about you. I finally had to go forward and then got coffee poured into the cup, but still no pot on the table like the others.
The breakfast was classic English with beans, scrambled eggs and sausage... There was no bread of a better kind, only white toast, and no cheese either!
When I checked out I waited for them to ask how my stay was, whereupon I had expressed my displeasure, but no one said hello or thank you.
The hotel seems to only be aimed at domestic visitors, and certainly nice for those who want a bit of Fawlty Towers feeling, poor service, cheap breakfast, exercise on the stairs... However, very nice village feel and environment in Blackheat.
